Consultations

I can visit your site and help you determine if any practices need to be modified, create plant lists appropriate for you site, and explore solutions to any problems you are having. We can explore future developments you may want to make. After spending time with you and your property I will compile notes and plant lists into a report to send you.

If you end up pursuing a full design, the consultation fee will be applied to the cost of the design.

Landscape and Garden Design

Good design takes time.  It involves the process of research, problem-solving, and decision-making.  It considers the assets and limitations of the site and responds to your wants and needs.  It is not just an arrangement of plants, but includes all of the functional aspects of your outdoor space to be practical, as well as aesthetic, delightful, and inspirational.

As an independent designer I focus on keeping your best interests in mind.  After listening to your family’s needs, desires, and tastes, the process of measuring and assessing the site begins.  I will present you with one or more preliminary plans before preparing a final plan.

Your design will be ready for you or a landscape contractor to install or you may take parts of it to install on your own.

Smaller projects, such as individual garden beds, can be great do-it-yourself projects..

Plant Coordinator

I pay a lot of attention to plant selection but very often substitutions are made based on what is available locally.  As a Plant Coordinator I can source harder to find plants, position plants prior to planting, and provide any special instructions, if necessary. I am particular about planting technique and use the latest research to guide my specifications.

Continued Involvement

I can continue involvement during the installation if questions arise.
